Lancashire players 21-7 vs India. (Batsmen 19-4).
Perhaps best to do without them for Finals Day. Except Gleeson 3-15. Well done to him.

Somerset 191-2 off 15 overs.
Rossouw 87n.o. Off 33 balls.
McKiernan 4 overs for 82 runs. Last over conceded 36 runs, 5*6, 1*4 and a no ball.
I think we can safely predict which Of the remaining teams will be at Edgbaston next Saturday.

Buttler is in a run of poor form since the IPL - should have been out first ball at Worcester and the 40-odd he eventually got were very scratchy. Livingstone is stuck in headless chicken mode with the bat and his bowling is all over the place. Parkinson has lost a bit of form of late and can't get his length right.

Will we not have Gleeson anyway? Not in one day squad and India 20-20 games done tomorrow. I'm hoping we'll have Salt too.

Just bought a ticket from the Warwick website,( a few single seats on there) wouldn't work on my mobile, but fine on the laptop. Would have waited for the Lancs allocation tomorrow, but being at Southport I was at the mercy of the mobile and didn't want to risk it!

Would've thought that Bairstow and Roy would be opening in the ODIs. Likely they will have Bairstow, Roy, Root, Buttler, Stokes and Ali as certain picks, just a question of whether they pick Livingstone/Brook as an extra batter, or Willey/Curran as an all rounder at 7. Salt and Brook should be released, they're not even centrally contracted.

Next to no chance of winning the championship now, so Saturday is the biggest day of the season.

Next to no chance of winning the championship now, so Saturday is the biggest day of the season. Agreed. Even without drawing the last two games against the bottom two, it was always going to be a tall order to catch Hampshire let alone Surrey, but now with Essex on the charge winning their last three we should probably end up 4th. Need something out of the next two matches (Northants and Kent) as the last three are Yorkshire, Essex and Surrey.
Will Washington Sundar play those two matches? Will that make a difference? If not Lancs will probably save the cash and not employ a second overseas for the September games if it all looks mid table mediocrity.

Cricinfo reporting: Harry Brook, Phil Salt and Matt Parkinson will be available to play for their counties on T20 Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston on Saturday after being released by England's ODI squad.
The semi-finals and final of the Blast are all staged on the same day but player availability has been limited this year by a clash with England's series against India. The third ODI takes place in Manchester on Sunday, barely 12 hours after the final is scheduled to finish in Birmingham.
As a result, six players who have been involved in the series have effectively been ruled out of Finals Day: Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone (both Lancashire), Craig Overton (Somerset), Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, and David Willey (all Yorkshire).
