Just popped home for a rest and some late lunch. The pitch is hard and flat and full of runs, as shown by the fact that Lancs chased down 205 without breaking sweat. Yorkshire made a mistake in opting to bat first as the only time batting looked at all difficult was during the first ten overs, after which it dried out and the batters made hay. That said, Vilas badly mishandled the bowling: Yorkshire had a good power play but then Parkinson, Hartley and Wells dried up the runs and after 13 overs Yorkshire looked on for 170 at best. Then for some reason Vilas brought the seamers back on and, apart from Wood, they really went round the park. Luckily Thompson holed out with an over to spare or they might have got 220. When Lancs batted, the pitch couldn't have been easier to score on against the comparatively weak Yorkshire attack and they just strolled to victory. They won't get such an easy ride tonight.

190 for the second match is probably OK. Hants are really good at defending a total so I think Somerset will struggle to win this. Currently, they're in trouble and the run rate has climbed to 12. However, I hope Somerset do win as I don't fancy us against Hants.

I wasn't able to watch the game. Checked the score at the half way point and didn't fancy our chances of chasing down 200+ and was rather perturbed to see that Parky our most economical bowler had only bowled three overs. But Great win. Will be sitting down with a bottle of Rioja to watch the final. Somerset currently 68-3 off ten so looks like Hampshire will be our opponents.
