Didn't see yesterday's game but was at the Derbyshire match, and that was the most confident I'd ever seen Rob Jones bat, looking composed and in control from his first ball. Sounds like yesterday was something similar. It seems a long time since he scored that century opening the batting against Middlesex, that season's county champions, and we all thought we'd found a gem. He's been largely disappointing since and I admit I was surprised he was given a new contract, but it shows players develop at different rates. I'd given up on Kyle Hogg just before he had those magnificent couple of seasons and Crofty is having arguably his best ever season at the age of 37, looking like our version of Darren Stevens. Mind you I don't want everybody to have to wait until they're 37!

I notice the qtr finals clash with the Old Trafford test match so no home game there! The semis are the day after it finishes, would that be okay?

Win group go straight to semi final But what if we finish 2nd? As you suggest, there would be the option of an out ground or surrending the home "advantage". Probably the former given it's only RL50 should be plenty to choose from. Boughton Hall anyone?

Fair play to Croft and Jones steadying the ship, and 2 decent knocks so far. Jones has been really decent recently.

Good partnership by Jones and Croft but losing the first three for 0 was always going to prove our undoing once the big partnership was broken, especially having picked such a long tail. Not looking a great decision to bat first but you never know...(in this case, I think we do).

No, indeed. 183 a/o. Unless Lancs know something about this pitch that we don't, Hants will knock these off with 10 overs to spare.
