Great win. And it looked like other results going Lancs way. Great batting Lavelle.

Brilliant knock by Lavelle to get us back on track after it looked as if we had blown it.

Great win. And it looked like other results going Lancs way. Great batting Lavelle. Lancs qualify as Essex lost. Have 11 point, Hants 10 max 14, Yorks 6 max 12. Essex, Kent max 9. No matter of result between Yorks and Kent.
Kent win means they still max 9, but Yorks now max 10. Lancs either win group, or come second assume that means home QF min.

A good win albeit against Northants second string attack, an excess of pies were bowlwed by both sides, some of the fielding was also substandard, but a wins a win. Lavelle's six at the end took out the guy in front of me phone

Agree about the pies. Thought at one stage that Northants had worked out out how best to bowl on this featherbed of a pitch but then Buck and White came back on. Lucky for us that Sanderson wasn't playing. Even though we won, I still think we should have batted first. All in all a day of good results for Lancs, with Hants, Essex and Yorks all losing.

Good day out yesterday. The pitch offered absolutely nothing for the bowlers but there's some pretty ordinary stuff bowled -Buck and White at the end were dismal (don't think Pietersen would have been impressed!). Wells played some lovely shots and got us ahead of the rate at the start. However, when Jennings was out, I think most people in the ground thought we'd blown it, so fair play to Lavelle and Balderson. I really liked their intent from ball 1 and it's really nice to have a couple of the younger lads win that for us.

We are guaranteed a top two finish so as I see it we either have a home qf on the 26th Aug or a home semi on 30th August. Looking at the hundred fixtures there is only one more fixture which is at Old Trafford on the 31st August. So if we finish second could the quarter final be played at Old Trafford?

Shouldn't big games be played on the big ground? How many would Lancs likely get in? No more than they would get at the out grounds?

Yes, thanks to poor fielding and strange captaincy decisions by Essex, who really should have won but seemed to lose their nerve.
