Will Bohannon be fit as he damaged his hand batting and although he carried on he didn't field on Sunday.
Sundar has been called up for the India tour of Zimbabwe this month so will be off soon although should be OK for weds at least.
I think there will be opportunities for younger players as we go on.
I thought jj fielding looked much better than bell in the Cumberland game although the contracted player will get the first chance.
Cornell is likely to be playing for Worcester but is very low down the order for them. We probably have younger better prospects in the system.

I think it is an issue that we don't seem to have anybody coming up through the ranks who is a top order batsmen and that when we need a reserve opener the solution is batting Balderson out of position. Lancashire clearly have young top order batsmen coming through, as have been discussed on here all summer. The majority, if not them all, happen to be 19 or under at the moment. The last thing that the club needs or that they need is for their way into the first XI to be blocked in the next couple of years. Going back to this, it is Lancashire's choice. In the last few seasons Lancashire have released, or ended there interest in: Hameed, Crawley, Fluck, Shah, Cornall, Davies and decided to give contracts to Salt and Wells. Of course looking at that list there are different reasons why players leave the county. It is not always that they aren't good enough. But it does explain to an extent why there are 18 and 19 year olds currently in the seconds.

Although JJ Fielding didn't quite end up as top scorer in the match, he easily could have been, especially when you consider he was playing for Cumbria against Lancashire, you would have to hope the Lancs bowling was better it was certainly more experienced. Cumbria had 5 teenagers playing (Inc 3 of the bowlers, the other 3 bowlers are in their early 20s) . JJ also followed that up with 71 on Sunday against Oxfordshire. Hopefully he may be available to play again for us this season, not least in the NCCA Trophy final.

I notice the qtr finals clash with the old Trafford test match! The semis are the day after it finishes, would that be okay?
