Probably the most important session of the series starting, if Babar and Shakeel get their eye in again today Pakistan could be close to England's total by lunch with a much stronger batting line-up than the first Test to try and get Pakistan a substantial first-innings lead.
Currently: 118-2 Babar 65* Shakeel 38*

Very strange, the pitch was playing well, Babar and Shakeel were playing beautifully and it looked like it would be a long very hot day in the field for England, then Robinson who had been kept back till the 35th over got Babar with a beauty with only his 2nd ball, then Pakistan went into their shell, dasher Rizwan who had taken 28 balls to get off the mark was bowled by a jaffa from Leach, then ....
England didn't have to bowl well from then on, it was like watching a club side in May, when every batter was desperate to get back to the pavilion to watch the FA Cup final - guilty your honour!

Pakistan all out for 328 - England win by 28 runs.
Game swung back in England's favour when Saud Shakeel was given caught behind for 94 when the ball looked to have touched the ground, soft decision indeed.

I think if the on-field umpire had given it not out, and England had sent it upstairs it would have been given not-out - every angle showed it may not have carried, but for me the most telling 'still' was when Pope held the ball up as once you've got the ball wedged in the gloves you can't move the ball up or down(if you were trying to Con the on-field Umpire, not suggesting Pope was), and if the gloves hit the ground, and they did, the ball must have.
Match winning knock from Brook in the second innings but thought Abrar Ahmed would have got man of the match award for his 11 wickets on debut, appreciate the winner is nearly always on the winning side, but ....

The National Stadium (Urdu: نیشنل سٹیڈیم), also referred to as National Bank Cricket Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a cricket stadium in Karachi, Pakistan, owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board.[2] It is the home ground of Karachi Kings and Karachi's many other domestic cricket teams.[3] It is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan with a capacity of 34,228 spectators.[4] It was built in early 1950s under the supervision of senior civil engineer Mr. Abdul Rasheed Khan (WP) and Mr. Kafiluddin (EP), was formally inaugurated in April 1955. In October 2022, the National Bank of Pakistan and the PCB agreed to a five-year naming-rights agreement, and resulted in the Stadium's new title, National Bank Cricket Arena.[5][6] The Pakistan cricket team have a remarkable Test record at the ground, having only lost twice in 45 Test matches[7] (vs. England, December 2000–01, and South Africa, October 2007–08).[8] The stadium has witnessed several memorable moments, such as Viv Richards 181 against Sri Lanka at the 1987 Cricket World Cup, Mohammad Yousuf's record ninth century of the year to break Viv Richards' record of most runs in a calendar year, and Kamran Akmal's famous century against India on a very difficult pitch in 2006, after Pakistan had collapsed to 39 for 6, as part of a memorable come-from-behind victory.[9]

Two changes likely for England, Foakes coming back in so Pope can concentrate on his batting, probably at the expense of Jacks, and Rehan Ahmed on debut either for Wood, or Leach, or the oldest swinger in town.

Azhar Ali announces that this will be his final Test match, hope he goes out on a relative high as he's been the glue that's held their fragile middle-order together for a decade or more.

Rehan Ahmed 18-years and 126-days old makes debut after only 3 first-class matches, guessing both are a record for England.
Burnley's finest putting his feet up for this one.
Pakistan won toss and chose to bat, currently 46-2(12.3)
