Apparently it is only the second time an England spinner has taken the new ball in the first innings of a Test match, and for Pakistan it was the first time for them(I'd hazard a guess it was the first time for any Test playing nation) that two spinners have taken the new ball in a first innings.
T20 has a lot to answer for.

Since he became Captain Stokes has played 10 test - won 9 and lost 1. He must be one of the most successful English test captains.
I think the Aussies will be a more difficult opponent though but everything Stokes seems to do on the cricket field seems to work - playing Ahmed for example..
