Surrey's day I'd say. Lowlight for me Wood bowling short to no slips - got a wicket but it needed an outstanding catch by De Grandhomme.
Wood has been the weak link today 1 wicket at 4.6 runs an over.
Doing a bit of training on the outfield at Lunch - Liam Livingstone!

Answer is that
"Punjab Kings hard-hitting English recruit Liam Livingstone arrival in India for the IPL 2023 has been delayed and Punjab Kings do not yet know when exactly the swashbuckling batsman would be joining the Mohali side. "He will be here next week," said a PBKS official .
Inquiries with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC) have revealed that Livingstone's arrival may be only around mid-April."
Must be injured I guess...

I don't think we bowled very well today, Williams aside. I guess it's understandable to be rusty on the first day, also that bowler's lengths are thrown out by all the T20 they play (thinking Wood and CDG). Bit concerned at the prospect of that tasty Surrey attack.

Not seen any today ; didn’t realise it was on YouTube. Charlie Dagnall talking at the last ever meeting of Merseyside Cricket Society tonight mentioned Surrey have two Aussie and one West Indian seam bowlers. That is a disgrace in my view . I’m beginning to hate what this game is becoming though am looking forward to the league cricket season.
From the Somerset Forum tonight, there doesn’t seem to be much optimism that the ground will be playable for our game there in two weeks time. I’ve already got my train tickets😬. There is real anger with the executive there as we have often seen here in the past including about the drainage issue. None of the people at the heads of these organisations ever seem to accept the accountability to go with the big salaries. Fans at Taunton who live very close to the ground accusing the club of lying about biblical rain overnight,
