Deja vu repeated all over again? No Wells so just the 7 bowlers tonight Bailey 1 over 0/13 (1 too many overs) CdG 1.2 overs for just 8 runs (2 overs unused) Mitchell 1 over for just 9 would have bowled the 20th (2 overs unused) Hartley 3 overs 1/35 so expensive this year Livingstone, Wood and Parkinson all bowled their 4.
Surely either of the overseas players could have bowled Bailey's over.

Going back to the Yorkshire game, this is what one of their forum's moderators posted after his team had lost to Durham last weekend: "Ditto. I never go if it is on Sky. The atmosphere is terrible at the best of times even when we have a competive match, it will be bleeding awful on Thursday when we get hammered and we have gloating obnoxious Lankie supporters in our faces. Just hope we bat first, or Lancashire will get 300. We have lost to two of the weaker teams in our group, so next up we have the best two teams in our group. Not to difficult to predict two hammerings."
So if anyone on here went, clearly there would be nothing to gloat about, but I just hope you weren't too obnoxious.

How the fook can jones start ahead of bell and balderstone unreal . Btw jones is not the reason we lost tonight but the lad playing does not help . Bailey bowling 1 over why pick him . Love glenn chappell to bits but at times hes clueless ,and chilton is the luckest man alive to be still earning a living out of cricket FACT As much as it be maybe difficult: Chapple is responsible for the first team not Chilton. Chapple picks the side Chilton doesn't. Chapple coaches the side Chilton doesn't.
Balderson has never played a single T20 game for Lancashire. Jones outplays him in the 2nds. (4 innings: 140 runs at 168 compared with 5 innings: 103 runs at 133) Adding Balderson's bowling which whilst being pace off is based on line and length so could go for plenty and anyway would potentially just confuse the captain even more.
Agree Bell for Bailey. Wells back for Jones.
Third of the way through looks like Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Durham plus one other. Not a good year to be playing Leicestershire only once.

Missed this one (thank God) but it's obvious that Lancs (Chapple?) seemed to think that Buttler, Salt and Livingstone would just drop into the team and start blasting the ball to all parts. They should all have been made to play a few games in the 2nds in order to acclimatise. All their introduction has done is destroy team spirit without any gain whatsoever. Never mind - Derbyshire beat Warwickshire tonight!

Our results are shocking when you look at the strength or our squad.
I agree that we should have kept Wells opening. Wells and Salt would be my choice of opening partnership.
Also agree no point Bailey being in the side and bowling one over. I remember this happening last year as well, with both Bailey and Lamb only bowling one over. Talking about Lamb, I think he is a better option in the T20 side than Bailey. I thought when players went on loan there was a clause in the contract that they could be recalled if there were required by their county due to injuries etc. so I'm surprised Lamb is still playing for Gloucestershire.
How long do we persevere with Butler if he doesn't find some form? Is he an automatic selection regardless?

Against Derbyshire on a very good batting pitch with a short boundary Bailey bowled all four overs, delivered a lot of variations and was our most economical bowler (7.2). He also took a very difficult diving catch. Since then he has played two games and been given one over in each. He must wonder what he's done wrong to be treated as a part-timer. On the same pitch btw Danny Lamb went for 9.1. The two spinners were tonked all over but even they were given two overs each. As someone who bowls a lot, Livingstone must know that you can't judge the effectiveness of a bowler in T20 from just one over and also that there's no point in picking a bowler if he's not allowed to bowl. Bailey can bludgeon a few but would never get into a T20 team for his batting. Moreover, any player who is nursing a sense of injustice is less likely to contribute well in other ways.

Away again at Notts tomorrow, its not getting any easier. We must have a run of home games at some point.

Danny Lamb 4-0-28-1 for Glos v Surrey @ Bristol Do rules mean you can only play for one side in the competition like in football, meaning Lamb can't play for us in it?

Example of batting in a T20:
Score after 3 overs: 10/1 (3+ an over) End of PP 6 overs: 40/1 (6+ an over) after 10 overs: 95/1 after 20 overs: 214/3 (10+ an over)
anyone think Livingstone and Buttler (or even Chapple) watching the match at Edgbaston today?

Is it top four, or top two that progress?
