www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643123Forecast mixed again I can't understand the ECB. Everyone knows that July is crap weather in the UK, surely better to play in March and October?

Kerrigan played in the seconds for Northants last week. Sadly I suspect his days are numbered there.

With Mitchell supposedly having played his last match for Lancs there is a gaping hole in the middle order. Will it be Vilas, Croft or a youngster thrown in?

Also does Lamb play again....play Hartley as a batsman?
(Be aware there is no general parking at OT for this fixture)

Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Steven Croft, Tom Hartley, Jack Morley, Phil Salt, Luke Wells, Will Williams, Luke Wood I see they have changed their tune, I'm sure they claimed last week that these injuries were in the warm up, not the build up, so they must have had warning enough to phone Danny Lamb a day or so in advance. If I was Danny, I'd be at OT tomorrow with my kit, you never know. Still no Vilas. So Croft for Maxwell. "Jack Blatherwick (hamstring) and Luke Wood (toe) have both recovered from minor injuries sustained in the build up to last week's draw against Warwickshire at Edgbaston and have been named in the 13-man squad."
Last week they said this: "Lamb was called up late after Luke Wood and Blatherwick reported injuries in the warm up."
"Lancashire will be without Daryl Mitchell who misses the final match of his scheduled overseas spell with the Club. " was he ever scheduled to be playing this week?
Previously they said: The 30-year-old will remain with the Red Rose until mid-July, a spell that includes County Championship matches against Hampshire, Surrey and Essex, in addition to the entirety of the Vitality Blast.

No Vilas suspect the end of Lancashire career

Threadbare looking squad. Semi farcical explanation of Mitchell's absence. No overseas in the squad before the end of July and no sign of any replacements. Notts sign yet another player for next season today we apparently sit on our hands and count concert receipts.

Think it’s more players don’t want to come and play for our jobs for the boys coaching staff. Notts beat us to both Tongue and Haynes, Chapple and Chilton must leave before we have any future success

Notts sign yet another player for next season today we apparently sit on our hands and count concert receipts. The explanation isn't even true. They have previously stated that his last championship match would be Essex. He agreed an extra match after 'unexpectedly' being drafted by a franchise.
It's interesting that Vilas' absence is not mentioned in the squad announcement.
But the signing of any overseas player for the rest of the season would be against stated policy of "....as we focus on players who will be at the Club next season and beyond." Needs to questioned at Members Forum.
