Going to Aigburth tomorrow. First time I have been to a seconds game. Basic question, will there any form of refreshment available at the ground or definitely bring your own job? Would have thought you could buy food in the Pavilion there’s a pub not far from the ground

Makes for a pleasant stroll along its embankment should you wish to stretch your legs.

This is not county 2nd eleven bowling on show here this morning. Apparently having to borrow club players to make a team. Why is our esteemed DOC here and not Canterbury? Could be worse he could be scouting in NZ.

When I saw that Admin had posted the link on “second team performances in club cricket”, I wondered if he was making a joke or a point at first.
There’s plenty of agreement around the Prem Clubs that even taking out the overseas professionals, a composite Liverpool prem team would hammer this Lancashire seconds team.

Was going to go today but promises a pretty tedious and possibly depressing day’s cricket . Either we will collapse or it will be a long grind towards parity. Josh de Cares leg spin might be interesting.

I'm interested to know why Chilton was there and not Canterbury. To watch Perera? Embarrassing to watch a bunch of club players get hammered again in the name of Lancashire. Too many players on the sidelines for spurious reasons. If players are employed and paid to play and are fit they should be playing.

How old is Moores? He looked about 14 keeping wicket.

Perera can definitely bat. Whether he is good enough for a contract and step up is another matter.

Needs to be a review of 2nd team cricket. It's dying before our eyes. Put Barnard & Birkman, who were carrying drinks for the 1st team, and Rocky Flintoff, Fonseka & Dunn who are involved with the U19's in the team and it looks much stronger.
