Dive early into that packing up, John! Refuelling early is the only way.

Iyer just a walking wicket. Doesn't look like he is going to survive any delivery he faces.

Almost inevitable scorecard. Raine an amazing bowler. Innocuous looking and no pace but on the spot ball after ball. Durhams new overseas less impressive.

Williams, Stanley and Flintoff left out Being as the club said the Hants game was Iyer's last, they have obviously extended his contract. Based on his record for us why?

Our new overseas Holder hasn’t been very impressive so far. We’ve left out a promising young quick out in Daniel Hogg for him. Wonder what your West Indian pacer is like.

Not easy to adjust to wickets in Northern England, suspect ours will probably have the same difficulties, many thanks for your imput rare to get the opposite sides view on here but very welcome

Commentators keep saying we can play until 7pm, but that's rubbish unless they bowl their overs really slowly. With a 10.30 start the close would be 5.30, 6pm with adding the extra 8 overs for the rain. They will finish when the overs are bowled which may be 6.30 ish

I totally understand. Saw somewhere that he hasn’t played since March, but then later found out that he’s spent his summer in the Derbyshire leagues. Durham have a few youth prospects that could be playing over him. Like I mentioned, Daniel Hogg who got 8 wickets v Notts 3 weeks ago here. I imagine he’s rested today to manage his workload. We have 16 year old James Minto as our 12th man. It just feels like our youngsters are getting overlooked at the minute, mind you, we have a few who aren’t progressing as fast as we would like

No snakes in the pitch. Hurst didn't look in any trouble all day.Raine being allowed to bowl on his terms the difference.
