Unusually for a Saturday it was limited over cup action today which I don’t take much interest in. However here is the summary and link to the full scores for those games with county interest whether current or past.

Highlights ; Bohannon, Lavelle and Hartley all having starring roles for Ormskirk ; a big defeat like that will hurt Bootle who had started league season well. Zelem and Hale’s struggles continue.

Act of violence abandons Lancashire Knockout match
Sunday 19th May 2019

A Lancashire Knockout match had to be abandoned this afternoon following an altercation between two players.

Eccleston had completed their first innings on 146 and Rainhill were on 117-4 after 31.2 overs in reply when one of their batsman headbutted Eccleston's bowler, Iain Bradley, after being given out caught behind.

The umpires abandoned the game due to the assault on the bowler.

Will return later to comment but all detailed scores available on links. Most significant is the Ormskirk v Northern game. Dan Houghton taking the wickets of two Lancashire contracted players and one with second team experience. Good to see Houghton has certainly made a decent start for Northern ; never took as many wickets at Rainford as ability indicated.
