It will be interesting to see how Somerset play it. I assume Warwickshire will set them a fairly generous declaration, how far will Somerset chase it or will they opt to settle for a draw at some stage. The way the Notts v Yorks game is going a win for Somerset would get them off the bottom of the table. Looking at the scores it looks like a good wicket.

Warwickshire 157 ahead. How fast can they score another 150? Set 300 with a few overs before lunch. Would Somerset go for 300 in 60-70 overs? No second new ball.

Generous declaration certainly gives Somerset a chance and a win will lift them off the bottom of the table providing Notts don't collapse.

Bresnan is such a good cricketer. One of the Somerset fans on their forum was saying that he looked far more threatening than Woakes in the first innings. The LBW in the previous over looked pretty close to me and then he catches him next over. One of the commentators was asking was it the same batsmen who escaped on the LBW. It’s a left-hander and a right-hander for God sake; not exactly difficult

35-3 Ali would struggle in Division 6 of the Palace Shield with a shot like that

Championship trophy at Edgbaston To stay if Somerset don’t sort out the mess they appear to be in.

Some poor shot selection from the Somerset batters...weird that their earlier season form was 4 victories and 1 defeat. This could be their 4th loss in 5 games..

35-3 Ali would struggle in Division 6 of the Palace Shield with a shot like that The key stage of this match will be when the likes of Gregory, Overton and Leach get to bat. Somerset’s last five wickets have often been harder to take than the top 5 - they got their first batting points in Division 1 yesterday. Mind you Hampshire only have 1 now.
