Great result. A good day; I maintained my 100% record of seeing Yorkshire lose at home. Yes, I know I should’ve wanted Yorks to win but it goes against the grain for this Lancashire man and I don’t think we can really win the championship this year.
Disgraceful pitch at Chelmsford; should be fined for that.

Great victory for Lancs after coming from 145 all out. Good to see Bailey come through with 10 wickets in the game well supported by Williams and Washington. Both good signings; Williams here for three years.
With Surrey and Hants winning we are 27 points behind Surrey and 18 behind Hants. I think it would need Surrey and Hants to mess up badly in their last few games for us to catch them...

I agree that we are very unlikely to win the title from here but, apart from the Essex game, we really haven't done much wrong. The biggest reason we haven't as many points as Surrey and Hants is the loss of 10 tosses in succession. The probability of this happening is 1 in 1024 so we really have been unlucky.

I've been banging on about the toss for a while Exile! Last season wasn't much better, we only won 3 out of 15 then so the luck really has been against us for a couple of season's now. Bloody covid! For anyone who is interested this is how the tosses have landed - Surrey - 3 wins 8 losses Hants - 4/7 Essex - 7/3 Northants - 6/4 Tykes - 8/2 !! Warks - 7/4 Kent - 5/6 Somerset - 6/5 Gloucs - 6/5 Lancashire - 1/10 !!

We are 34 points behind Surrey but have only lost two more tosses than they have. If we had won rather than drawn those two games we would trail by 18 points. We are 18 points behind Hampshire three extra wins rather than draws would put us just in second place.
What’s the answer deduct a point for every toss you win?

Difference between us and Surrey/Hampshire is runs from 7 downward. Lost count how many times I’ve checked a scorecard with them struggling to see them putting 100+ on for the last 4 wickets
