Yes, Admin, worthy champions though as you say a bit of help from the ECB just like Middlesex were given a few years ago when up against Yorkshire and Somerset. Was thinking of going to my first Lancs day of the season if there was a chance of upsetting Surrey but I really don’t like cricket in the cold. The third day of this match below which turned out to be the last, was the coldest days cricket I have ever seen with the exception of the Melbourne Boxing Day 2006 when it snowed in the outskirts of Melbourne ( have the press cuttings to prove it). Paul Collingwood said it was like Durham in winter. What great fun I had ribbing the Aussies about their weather. Re the match below, I don’t know how Gary Keedy was able to grip the ball to bowl as superbly as he did . There was also an unusually fluent innings from Jonathan Trott who had just made his debut Test century and unusually did not score most of his runs in that innings through mid-wicket but instead with straight drives. cricketarchive.com/Lancashire/Scorecards/204/204660.html |

Also Lancashire Cricket will hold a Members’ Forum on Tuesday 27 September 2022 which will take place in the Members’ Suite at Emirates Old Trafford. We would urge as many Members as possible to attend in person

Can't think why Sky are showing this meaningless match when there are plenty of interesting relegation and promotion games taking place. Usual Surrey bias, I guess
