Scoring at a decent rate.

I know this pitch is a good batting pitch but Bohannon has batted beautifully so far.

Should the game be awarded to Somerset on the basis that Lancashire lost a wicket in the two sessions today after lunch and Somerset didn't yesterday?

Never looked the least doubt about a century for both openers to me until Wells’ odd dismissal. Draw still favourite but Lancs can still win if make enough new ball inroads second innings.

A typical Lancs comeback today. Unfortunately, it's likely that there'll only be one session tomorrow and Sunday will be on-off so chances of winning don't look good. Best plan looks to be to try to get to 400 in the first hour and then declare.

I wonder had Lancashire been 80 for 4, would our middle order have responded well enough to ensure the total went as high as 441?
Perhaps a good decision to inser after all.

I agree that it's looking a good decision to insert now. With a bit of luck we could have bowled Somerset out for under 300.
I don't see the point in declaring at 400, I think we should bat on to get the extra batting point try and build a lead and hope we have time to bowl Somerset out which seems unlikely looking at the forecast.

My mistake - forgotten about the change in the bonus points. Obviously should bat on to 450. Even if not rained off after lunch, I don't think we'll bowl out Somerset on such a featherbed unless there's a complete collapse of batting morale. As to the decision at the toss - it never looks good if you insert the opposition and they rack up almost 450 (which we've done twice now) but Taunton is as good a ground as any on which to bat last now that they've given up preparing bunsens. Anyway, it's all a bit academic, given the forecast.

Collapse is on now for Lancs. 2 quick wickets following Keatons retired hurt. Need to get to 450, but its looking like a draw this.

Really surprised we didn’t get any wickets as it was moving around for them. Had left when they first went off as forecast so poor so didn’t see our bowling.
Gather from other remarks that forecast bad for tomorrow although yesterday was far better than forecast.

Bailey takes the 1st of the 2nd innings. Looks very gloomy and the comms just mentioned rain around.
