Australia 416 and 130 for 2 (Khawaja 58*) lead England 325 (Duckett 98, Brook 50, Starc 3-88, Head 2-17, Hazlewood 2-71) by 221 runs
Pivotal day today suspect we could have a massive target to chase

Bazball came into a storm of criticism yesterday following England's terrible 1st innings. Amusing to hear England's spin coach thrown to the press pack trying to defend it all.
I'd be surprised if we don't see a much more Tavare/Boycott approach in England's 2nd innings..

Also think Jimmy’s day as a Test Player is reaching the end Andy Zaltzman just provided this stat:
In this series so far, Jimmy Anderson has bowled 75 overs and taken 3-219, prior to that, in 10 Tests he had taken 45 wickets, averaging 17.6. He has averaged under 19 in all four series previous to this one in the Stokes/McCullum era. It's been tough so far for him.
Bound to be rested for the next test if not more if Tongue, Broad, Robinson, Wood, Potts do the business in third test. Got so far as he did due to Archer, Stone, Mahmood etc, being more injured than not.

England 325 and 114 for 4 (Duckett 50*, Stokes 29*) need another 257 runs to beat Australia 416 and 279 (Khawaja 77, Broad 4-65)

Stupid from Bairstow, poor form from the Aussies.

Never heard a Lords crowd so vocal before - good luck to the Aussie fielding in front of the West terrace next week. Too much intimidatory bowling IMHO against for example Jimmy; umpires too weak these days...

Stupid from Bairstow, poor form from the Aussies. Agree should have grounded bat before going on his ramble

Stupid from Bairstow, poor form from the Aussies. Agreed.
But would Stokes have hit 155 without it?
Aussies will justify it to even up things on the alleged home umpire decision on Stark grounded catch.

The was a good diving boundary catch in the Somerset game, thats how to take a catch Starc the commentator said.

Agree with MITS about the short pitched bowling. World class bowlers to tail enders with no slips ; utter nonsense .
I seem to have lost all my frames of reference with cricket as with life. I hate seeing bad cricket and although there has been some good cricket , there has been so much stupid cricketvplayed by both sides. Hate seeing so much short pitched bowling. I wouldn’t cross the road to watch it even if most people are finding it exciting.
Cricket to me isn’t as partisan as rugby. I’m far more concerned with the spirit and beauty of the game and I’m not sure whether I can be bothered watching the rest of the series.

Had the Tour de France on Australia 416 (Smith 110, Head 77, Warner 66, Root 3-19, Tongue 3-98) and 279 (Khawaja 77, Broad 4-65) beat England 325 (Duckett 98, Brook 50, Starc 3-88) and 327 (Stokes 155, Duckett 88, Cummins 3-69, Starc 3-29, Hazlewood 3-80) by 43 runs

Stupid from Bairstow, poor form from the Aussies. Agree should have grounded bat before going on his ramble Bairstow did ground his toe before walking out of his crease but even if he had grounded his bat the umpire's decision would be the same. The ball was still live and he was out of his crease so out.

I read somewhere that the umpire at the stumps was giving the bowler his cap back as Bairstow was stumped, surely that means the balls dead/overs over. So it seems everyone is guilty of moving too soon.

Brainless from Jonny but the stumping definitely left a nasty aftertaste. He wasn't disorientated, he wasn't trying to steal a run. To steal a phrase from the stands and adapt it a little, same old Aussies, always willing to win at any cost.
England have been guilty of naive cricket throughout this series, it was good to see Ben Stokes belatedly playing some proper cricket and the game was better for it. Hopefully Root will revert to this approach at Headingley and we will stop throwing away winning positions.
