Great start, and Luke Wood certainly making a point, but we did have Middlesex 39-6 last time we played them here and they went on to score over 300 with a big ton from old boy John Simpson.

15 wickets @43 each last season might be the reason Luke Wood hasn't been playing. I agree that he's a better option than Blatherwick, though. Wood is faster than Bailey/ Williams, swings the ball and is a left armer so adds variety to the attack even if he is expensive sometimes. |

When he gets itright he is a real handful. |
