T20 Blast fixtures have been announced with championship and other fixtures due out on Thursday. Moving back to 8 points for a draw with 4 rounds played with the Kookaburra. Any change to the batting points? I haven't seen any mention of a change to the batting points. As Admin says, the two main changes are the Kookaburra ball and 8 points for a draw.

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Nottinghamshire have named batter Joe Clarke as their new T20 Blast captain.
He was the club's T20 player of the season in 2020 and again in 2023, and has scored 4,349 runs in the format, including four centuries.
Clarke takes over from Steven Mullaney and his appointment follows Haseeb Hameed being named Championship and One-Day Cup skipper.
"To be offered the captaincy is a huge honour," 27-year-old Clarke told the club website.
"We have tried to play an aggressive, entertaining brand of cricket for a long time and that is something I hope can continue whilst adding a few touches of my own.
"I want us to be fearless and to take the game on. That is what we've done to achieve success during my time here in T20 cricket."
Notts Outlaws have won the T20 Blast twice, most recently in 2020, when Clarke was in the side that beat Surrey by six wickets in the final, having been signed from Worcestershire the previous year.
He has also played in Australia's Big Bash and T20 competitions in Pakistan and the UAE.
"We have a good record in T20 cricket having made the knockout stages 12 times in the last 14 years, but we need to evolve to maintain that record and push for silverware," said Notts head coach Peter Moores.
"We're confident Joe is the man to help us in that transition; he has clear ideas to help us improve as a side and his character and energy will help integrate new faces into the squad.
"He has proven himself as one of the best white-ball batters in world cricket in recent seasons, learning from some of the best short format players around."

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
Northamptonshire pace bowler Jack White has signed a new contract to run until at least the end of the 2025 season.
The club were relegated from Division One of the County Championship this summer, but White was their leading bowler with 50 wickets.
The 31-year-old made a late entry into first-class cricket in 2020 and has taken 129 wickets for Northants.
"It was only really at the end of a tough season we showed how good we can be as a team," he said.
"I'm fully focused on trying to help the team get promoted back to Division One next season where I feel we belong."
White - who will spend part of the winter playing in New Zealand - took five wickets in a Championship innings three times in 2023.
His best figures are the 6-38 he took against Essex at Wantage Road at the end of the 2022 season.
"He's someone who has had to do it the hard way, he got noticed in the leagues, and came into the professional game at a later stage of his development," said head coach John Sadler.
"Through hard work and dedication to his craft, he has become one of the leading seam bowlers in the country."

LEICESTERSHIRE
Hampshire's bowling all-rounder Scott Currie will spent the entire 2024 season on loan at Leicestershire.
The 22-year-old seamer picked up five County Championship wickets on loan at the Division Two club in September.
The right-armer has also extended his contract at home club Hampshire.
Currie told the Hampshire website: "It's a unique scenario to be spending a year at another club, but I intend to improve my game and become a more rounded player and person."
Currie has picked up 78 wickets from 47 first-team appearances, including 19 at an average of 12.84 to help the Hawks to T20 Finals Day in 2021.
He also took three wickets against Leicestershire as the Foxes edged the 2023 One-Day Cup Final against the Hawks at Trent Bridge in September.
Currie told the Foxes website: "I'm really looking forward to continuing my development in first-team cricket, but more importantly, building on and trying to contribute to more success for Leicestershire."
Foxes director of cricket Claude Henderson said: "We are very excited to welcome Scott back - he fitted in seamlessly and has a bright future ahead of him."
Currie's arrival follows the permanent signings of Ben Cox, Liam Trevaskis and Ben Mike.
Poole-born Currie came through Hampshire's player pathway system after a spell playing football for Portsmouth's academy.
Giles White, Hampshire's director of cricket said the club is "delighted" that Currie has extended his contract.
"He's a talented and committed cricketer and this opportunity with Leicestershire provides Scott with an opportunity to develop his game and gain
further first team exposure," he added.
SOMERSET
All-rounder Tom Abell has stepped down as Somerset captain after seven seasons leading the Taunton side.
The 29-year-old was appointed captain ahead of the 2017 campaign leading Somerset to runners up spot in the County Championship in 2018 and 2019.
Abell lifted the One-Day Cup in 2019 beating Hampshire in the final.
"I didn't have a great season in 2023. It can be tough to lead when you're not content with your own performance," Abell told the club's website.
"This will give me the opportunity to get back to where I need to be, which is contributing to Somerset winning games of cricket."
Abell has a first-class average of 33.97 with the bat and 31.62 with the ball.
In 2023, he averaged 31.10 in the County Championship with one century and two fifties but claimed only four wickets in 13 matches.
He made his debut in 2014, scoring 95 and 0 on debut against Warwickshire in the Championship.
'I'm stepping down with a heavy heart' "As a Somerset boy it's been a massive privilege to captain the club and the experience has been incredible," Abell continued.
"I'm stepping down with a heavy heart. It's not been an easy decision, but I've thought about it a lot and I believe that it is in the best interests of the team and the club.
"Sometimes change can be a good thing and I think that now is the right time. My decision is entirely based on what I feel is best for us moving forward."
Somerset's director of cricket, Andy Hurry, said Abell still had a "huge role to play in the future of the club".
Hurry also said the club are beginning the process of identifying who should replace Abell as captain.
"Tom feels the time is right for someone else to take on the mantle," Hurry said.
"Tom has captained Somerset County Cricket Club with distinction over the last seven seasons.
"Everyone connected with Somerset will agree that he has been an absolute credit to the club both on and off the field.
"His conduct, commitment, leadership and dedication have been exemplary during his time in the role, and he has written himself into the history of the club forever."

DERBYSHIRE
Derbyshire batter Mitch Wagstaff has signed a new one-year deal at the club.
The academy graduate made his first-class debut in the summer and struck two half-centuries in his first three County Championship matches.
He also took two wickets in his first over in red-ball cricket with his occasional leg-spin, becoming the first Derbyshire player to achieve that feat.
"It's a big time in my career - I now have the opportunity to kick on," Wagstaff, 20, said.
Head of cricket Mickey Arthur said Wagstaff, who broke into the first team two years ago, when he played in five One-Day Cup games, had "shown real improvement" since being part of the senior squad and was "starting to build on the promise we believe he has".
"We want local youngsters to be coming into the first team, it's important for this club to produce its own players, so for Mitch to be staying is a big step forward."
Wagstaff follows all-rounder Anuj Dal and long-serving batter Wayne Madsen in agreeing a new deal at the County Ground recently.
Two more all-rounders - Ross Whiteley and Samit Patel - have also signed from next season, along with former Glamorgan and Hampshire batter Aneurin Donald.
Derbyshire begin the new County Championship season with a home game against Gloucestershire, starting on Friday, 5 April.
WARWICKSHIRE
Warwickshire fast bowler Chris Rushworth has triggered a new, extended contract at Edgbaston.
The 37-year-old veteran took 53 wickets in his first season with the Bears following last winter's move from his native Durham.
He originally signed on a two-year contract, which included the option for a third year.
The extra year clause was triggered when he took 5-47 against Somerset in the final game, to go past 50 wickets.
Rushworth, who did not make his first-class debut until he was 23, now has a career haul of 656 first-class wickets at an average of 22.42.
That includes a haul of 50 wickets or more in a season on seven separate occasions - six for Durham and one for the Bears, including a prodigious 32 hauls of five scalps or more in an innings.
Rushworth and Oliver Hannon-Dalby both passed 50 for the season, in an injury-hit summer that robbed the Bears pace attack of the injured Liam Norwell for all of it, and Craig Miles and England's Chris Woakes for most of it.
They have already re-signed Pakistan paceman Hassan Ali for the 2024 season.
Warwickshire are scheduled to kick off next season with a home Championship derby against Worcestershire on 5 April.
Rushworth is then due to face a first meeting with his former side Durham, also at Edgbaston, the following week.

KENT
Kent have appointed Toby Radford and Robbie Joseph to their coaching set up to assist head coach Matt Walker.
Radford, who has been a batting coach for the West Indies as well as head coach at Middlesex and Glamorgan, has been appointed as batting coach.
Joseph, a former Kent bowler, has been appointed bowling coach, a position he held at Gloucestershire.
"We're really pleased to complete our coaching setup," Kent's director of cricket, Simon Cook, said.
"Both will work closely with myself, head coach Matt Walker, and coaches across our Talent Pathway to help us continue to produce cricketers for Kent & England moving forward," he added to the Kent website. Radford, 52, who was a batter for Middlesex and Sussex, was involved in setting up both the West Indies High Performance Centre and the Middlesex Academy.
He also led Middlesex to the 2008 Twenty20 Cup and was batting coach for the West Indies' T20 World Cup success in 2012 and Test Series win over England in 2019.
Joseph, 41, made 110 appearance for Kent and took 230 wickets for the county.
The former fast bowler joined the Gloucestershire coaching staff in July 2022.
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
Former Nottinghamshire captain Steven Mullaney has agreed a three-year deal with the club as a player-coach.
The 37-year-old will captain the second XI but will remain available for first-team selection when required.
Mullaney stepped down as skipper in October after six years in the role, to be replaced by Haseeb Hameed (red-ball and One-Day Cup) and Joe Clarke (T20).
He has scored more than 14,000 runs and taken 377 wickets in all formats of the game since his Notts debut in 2010.
"His leadership qualities will help the young players in our second team as we look to give them the opportunities to progress," said head coach Peter Moores.
"Peter Trego adopted a similar role a few years ago, and we saw how successful that was in terms of maturing players and preparing them for first-team cricket - you can look at the likes of Calvin Harrison, Matthew Montgomery and Toby Pettman for examples of that.
"He adds real value to the coaching team as someone who has been at the coalface of first-team action for several years here."
Mullaney will work with developing players on a one-to-one basis over the winter.
"I hope I can pass on some of my experience in the game, whether by having direct conversations or them just picking up the way I go about things," he said.
"In doing so we can help bridge the gap between the first and second team so that players feel prepared, confident, and know what to expect when they make the step up."

The meeting has taken place with Liverpool and Lancashire officials. Apparently it was highly productive and there is a strong possibility that a second team fixture will be held at Aigburth in June next season. Liverpool have also agreed that Lancashire can use their facilities such as nets etc when OT is unavailable for the Lancashire players.
Hopefully this means that common sense has prevailed.

Maybe 2nd XI games will take place first to test it all out then any first team fixtures would be 2026. I've driven passed the area where the new ground will be and it is still basically a farmer's large field with a few diggers, April 2025 is only 16 months away, personally I can't see everything being ready for then.

when do the players return to training? I always thought it was November, but it's now well into December and it's all quiet on the indoor fitness, rivington pike run in terms of social media posts.
