I'm down there for the four days. I believe the dukes ball will be used so hopefully it will be a better balance between bat and ball.

It tends to turn with Harmer playing do Hartley may come back into the side. Interesting showdown between Lyon and Harmer!

Time to knock Essex off their perch!
I remember that game down there from a couple of seasons back when the pitch was awful and it looked like Lancs were going to lose but then skittled Essex out in the last inning to win. as Rob says should be interesting with Lyon vs Harmer.

Squad: Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Aspinwall, Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Tom Bruce, Tom Hartley, Matthew Hurst, George Lavelle, Nathan Lyon, Luke Wells, Will Williams
"Lavelle has been rewarded for his fine form in the Second XI so far this season with scores of 80 and 64* against Yorkshire at Headingley last week, followed up with an unbeaten 107* against Durham yesterday at Emirates Old Trafford before being withdrawn to join up with the First Team squad."

I'm 20 minutes walk from the ground. It started raining around 8pm last night. This morning it's been drizzling on and off since 7.30. There are patches of blue sky but how long it stays dry before another batch of rain is anyone's guess. Another frustrating day for cricket fans!

Indeed John W. My sympathy but see Chris’s post above; you can always follow the other game in Lancashire’s parallel universe.

Yes, but thankfully they have seen the error of their ways and corrected it. The stream also shows the covers coming off. Years since I've been to Chelmsford. Pleasant enough short walk from the station and knowledgable folk at the ground. Maybe we can bowl them out for 20 again.
