Puzzling that George Lavelle told ok to play for Ormskirk on Sat. Lancs have been known to remove club players same day and I can see they have a right to do it but seems odd.
If anyone care’s to look at Ormskirk’s Facebook , you will see Lavelle named in Saturday’s team.
I know they get a poor example from the politicians on both sides , but why can’t Lancashire tell the truth about anything? Is it just incompetence or is it the sense of entitlement that they can do anything? I’m genuinely thinking that I am becoming such a negative presence on this Forum that I might withdraw from all bar the league cricket posting. If Gidney told me we were in May, I’d check my calendar.

Re AlanW ‘s earlier post , I guess this belongs more on a general thread but , reading cricket papers, the trend seems to be inexorable to 10 franchise counties with women’s team alongside mainly based in soulless stadia though Lancs may have to give OT up to concerts on occasions.

I suspect you would love to post about how everything at OT is rosy...but it isn't! (Unfortunately) my wife and I bought Life Membership over 40 years ago with the intention of watching Lancashire at Old Trafford in our later years. Now we much prefer watching Lancashire anywhere but the home ground simply because it does not feel like home..Roll on Trent Bridge next week, a proper cricket stadium where you feel welcomed.

My understanding is that Lancashire are going to get a share in the ownership of the Manchester Originals. My fear is that this is a step in the direction of county teams merging with franchise teams. The ECB will transfer, for free, 51% of the originals to Lancs retaining 49%. Both parties can sell off some of their share. The ECB will do, passing the receipts to the counties. Lancs intentions are unknown...
Weather forecast looks poor for tomorrow.

Agreed.
...and you still get good value from the life membership with all the away trips.

and yet no-one takes responsibility.
They have stopped replying when I point out errors to them, they just slip in the odd correction.
I believe the problem goes back to when the new website was chosen by people who did not understand what they were doing. It appears from the outside, that they chose a website for its look but which is not simple to update. They have to know how many different places to update everything each time something happens. Or simply the senior communications team is badly led and don't care. Whichever, it is difficult to conclude anything other than them being simply careless.
