The Lancs plan will be to give it a go before the ball gets soft but to shut up shop if they get to 5 down. With only 44 overs available, I think it's a reasonable strategy. The weather will probably have the last word...and as I type they're off again. Probably won't be another overs left to get a result. A pity because Bruce and Hurst were looking good.
