Apparently he bowls to slow, does not excel in red ball cricket according to Sky's experts, after England have finished with him expect him to be bowling faster than Mark Wood, as for the red ball stuff don't think he's done that bad but as we only play four day cricket in March and November probably will struggle to bowl leg spin

They either stay with England and are never seen again, or they come back so poor that you wish they hadn’t.

Pretty astute comment Richard. Jimmy Anderson is one part counter example. Yes, forget them for long term planning but he usually( not always) performs when he comes back . I very much doubt though that he will play before one man and a dog once Test career finished
If you get them back full time, they are permanently damaged. Jennings, Saj Mahmood....
Almost everyons on the old forum was in a celebratory mood when we signed Buttler. I told them he would be a footnote in Lancs County history and how right I was.

Extended contract until 2023 One year extension. That's the minimum possible extension, but better than running the contract down this year

Amazed there is no tweet from Lancashire cricket. Everyone else has acknowledged Parkinson's call up to test cricket. Such foresight by England to leave him out of the One Day squad!
Another player missing from the Warwickshire championship match, whilst they are full strength?
