Saj Mahmood was another one who usually came back with confidence destroyed after Lions or Test outings

Slow bowlers seem to be of limited use in the current test game just someone to score off...maybe it's the ball. At one CC game the ball was changed 14 times..

The two week time frame looks odd. Durham have a game against Derbyshire starting today. Then their next game starts on the 11th May against Yorkshire. So if Parky just plays one game for Durham he would be available for us for both the Notts and Somerset games. If he plays two games for Durham we wont see him until the T20 blast.
I am curious who instigated this. If Parky just plays for Durham against Derbyshire I can see the advantage of him getting some FC cricket.
We are only three games into the season but I have concerns that Lancashire are planning to use Parky as a white ball specialist and occasional red ball player, similar role to the one Stephen Parry used to fill.

You're right! Apologies, he wasn't on the early scorecard I saw.

didn't someone post on here, that he wasn't best pleased getting dropped after that initial 5/- this season. can't be too happy that the local franchise side has dropped him from their squad as well. Didn't retain him, didn't draft him into any of the draft picks.

I think Des said he'd heard Parky had been told he had to work on his fielding which seems odd, I've always thought he's a perfectly competent outfielder. It sounds like Durham's overseas legspinner, Kuhnemann, has a stress fracture and it looks like they're keen on replacing him and playing a leggie. Parky is playing for them ahead of Trevaskis, left arm spinner and much better batsmen (don't know about his fielding). They have Nathan Sowter on their books but he's never played much championship cricket. If it goes well this week I wouldn't be surprised, but disappointed, if Parky made a permanent switch up North.

When Lancs claimed it would be good for him to get some overs in a more competitive environment they forgot to ask Derbyshire to keep it competitive.
3.3 overs at the last batsman 1/18 at over 5 an over doesn't add up to much in the first innings. Four down already following on and not a bowl in the second innings.

Innings win for Durham Parky's match figures 14.3 overs 1-69. Parky is with Durham for another week or so when they do not have a game. The article on the Durham website says that Parky is not eligible to play in our game against Notts. So assume that he will be training with the Durham boys next week.

Maybe Lancs are thinking that the likes of Hartley and Wells offer enough with the ball but far more in other areas that Parky might be surplus to requirements. Especially if pitches favour quicks or seam bowlers. Maybe a line of thinking that spinners have to be all rounders because too many quicks/seamers are poor with the bat but we need them with the ball so they aren't going anywhere.
