I asked my friend who I see fortnightly whether his mole in the camp ( who he sees weekly) has said anything about this. He hasn’t other than to say that Livingstone is an obnoxious character and in his opinion , dressing room problems were his fault and not Buttler or Salt. Interesting to see that Durham in The Cricket Paper were saying that Parky had been a great presence in their dressing room which is praise for someone on a loan spell. I this is true it makes the decision to make Livingstone T20 captain bizarre. Livingstone contributes very little to the team performance if his attitude causes problems in the dressing room I think we should get rid of him if.What's the actual rumour here guys?

The rumour is that Parkinson and Livingstone had a serious falling out and that the Lancs management sided with Livingstone. This caused Parkinson to look for employment elsewhere (Parkinson may already have been thinking that being dropped from the CC side after just one match in which he took five wickets was not a good pointer to his future at Lancs). Players who decide to leave Lancs are always given the cold shoulder by the management so this would explain why Parkinson hasn't had a game for Lancs since the early T20s, in which he played perfectly well.

Parky went on load to Durham at the end of April. So if the rumour is true the issue with Parky and Livingstone is likely to have happened in Manchester when Livingstone was receiving treatment for an injury before leaving for the IPL and could well have occurred in the Surrey game at Old Trafford in early April.

Not unusual for players in a team to fall out though it usually kept within the dressing room. An example is Atherton and De Freitas - "More than once our captain, Neil Fairbrother, had to pull us apart (it cost Fairbrother a broken nose once)," wrote Atherton in 2005 Pity it couldn't have been resolved....

I know it's a different sport but Andy Cole and Teddy Sheringham famously never spoke to each other during their entire time playing at United even though they both played together as a strike partnership.

38 no for Kent, highest fc score.
I still think it is a great shame we let him go. Better bowler than Hartley IMHO.

Just taken a five for against Surrey as he did for us last year in the only championship game we selected him for.
