Find it bizarre that he is playing for Durham at Scarborough today. I just find loans without a view to anything long term very odd.

It's a real spinners merry go round at the moment (pun intended). Durham sign Callum Parkinson and Liam Trevaskis goes in the opposite direction. Yorkshire sign Dan Moriarty on loan ahead of a permanent move and loan Dom Bess back to Somerset.
I did read that Dom Bess might find himself without a county, too expensive once his deal with Yorkshire ends, which would be a shame. Also that Surrey might release Virdi at the end of his contract. Also a shame, thought he looked like a future England player when he was a Surrey regular, bowled with control and turn.

If the rumours being discussed on another thread are true (and they do seem to be) Lancs have sacrificed one of the best leg spinners in the country for the sake of massaging the ego of a player who contributes almost nothing to the club's overall results. At best, it's a shocking failure of basic man-management and at worst it stinks of corrupt relationships between the management and players.

Would also make the decision to appoint Livingstone T20 captain even worse.

There has always been the phenomenon of the "blue eyed boy" at Lancs. Chilton was one; Livingstone is another; so was John Crawley until he gave the finger to Jack Simmons. The idea that some players are favoured by the management is a sure fire recipe for resentment and should never be allowed to arise.

If this is true then I am incredulous- Livingstone never plays for Lancs other than the odd Blast game! Parky was a match winner in all formats and could of played for the next 10 years.

The obvious difference being Chilton and Crawley played alot of games for lancs.....

I asked my friend who I see fortnightly whether his mole in the camp ( who he sees weekly) has said anything about this. He hasn’t other than to say that Livingstone is an obnoxious character and in his opinion , dressing room problems were his fault and not Buttler or Salt.
Interesting to see that Durham in The Cricket Paper were saying that Parky had been a great presence in their dressing room which is praise for someone on a loan spell.

I this is true it makes the decision to make Livingstone T20 captain bizarre. Livingstone contributes very little to the team performance if his attitude causes problems in the dressing room I think we should get rid of him if.
