They made 170 plus we are 25-3 Failed run chase. Only Maxwell performed with the bat today. Jennings batting since the second ball of the fourth well into the last over (so over 15 overs) and failed to see them home. Scoring at a strike rate of only 106.
Had to lose sometime, I guess. Wish it wasn't aginst Warwickshire, who I think have had unfair advantage in this competition for years (playing at home on finals day on 3 of the last 5 years).

Lancashire Regime even managed to publish a report on the match without mentioning Maxwell. Easily the majority of the replies to their tweets yesterday (all ignored at the time) were by fans and supporters simply saying: Where's Maxi?
CricInfo reported minor hamstring problem. Silence from LCCC.

It would appear that there are only two Counties in the North Group not in the tight struggle to finish Top 4.
Lancashire and Yorkshire
Well. There has to be something to enjoy

It would appear the secret is finally out of the bag. Have Lancashire contracted out their website to someone who works for Emirates:
Spot (yet another deliberate mistake) from someone must lack a decent knowledge of geography let alone cricket

Just the norm for us

Qualified for the QFS after tonight's games. Only the top 4 can now achieve 16 points.

Just the norm for us Perhaps having ensured qualification for the QFs the idea is actually to play the game at Durham. Together with the game at Sedbergh it’s practice in playing home games on neutral grounds in readiness for the QF.

Completely agree Chris. I just call Lancashire emirates plc. I’m completely disillusioned with the club and actually unsubscribed from its emails this week.
Had a look at your blog . A good read and very perceptive too. Most of your predictions have proved to be accurate although Gavin Griffiths perhaps hasn’t justified your wish that he had stayed with us.

At least Gavin is still with Leicestershire after a few years, must have had his initial contract extended. Chapple / Allott even Giles before them must have a better feel for bowlers. Reece (and Hameed) even Horton more difficult to fathom. We know that all our batsmen Vilas, Livingstone, Croft, Jones etc. are much more suited to batting 5-6 or even lower from time to time. Yet we keep releasing top order (1-3) and seem to replace them with those who aren't that much better or with existing squad members hoping they can cope higher up, but then they get shuffled down again. Will Jennings be the next to publicly shamed when in his last year of this contract? He signed up for 4 years, needs runs next year otherwise he will be under pressure in his final year. Shah looks the best option from the seconds. Bet they sign him.
Back on topic. I wonder if they will experiment with the overseas players, now they are in the QFs, if Maxwell and Faulkner are really going to be missing on finals day?
