Looking at the fixtures there are no games on three days before the Test starts It is appalling. It’s beyond my understanding. What was wrong in setting aside the day after the Test Match for the final game ? It's all to do Sky's schedule and with the compulsory reserve day. So that would rule out both the day before the test, and the day before the championship match, because they were refusing to move (two) championship matches assuming the opponents would also have a game.
You do wonder if the clown who was responsible for announcing that yesterday’s game was at Riverside, had been told about the quarter-final announcement before it was official and got things mixed up. Probably, yes, but I still suspect that they work for the Emirates, and getting things right aren't a priority either for them or LCCC. Problem with mixed or shared responsibilities. If Emirates staff make a mistake on the LCCC website, does it really matter? Plus they probably don't know the inner workings of the website.

I am sure you are right about Sky’s Schedule
After all, they can’t be expected to remove the Repeats of the Repeats of the Repeats which is what they show an awful lot of the time.

It will be interesting to see what happens if Worcestershire beat Notts and then reserve their home quarter final. I don't think that New Road has floodlights. All the quarter finals are scheduled for 6.30pm starts, as the test match should finish then or thereabouts. Maybe Lancs going to Durham is just one less headache for Sky and the ECB.

I have found lots of references to discussions about floodlights at New Road, but nothing about them being put up.
The game tomorrow indeed is starting at 4pm which again would strongly suggest that you are correct.
More headaches ahead?
Of course though if you are wanting to downgrade a competition what better way to do it than to bring the qualification procedure into question

One point each leaves Notts best placed to finish 2nd (or even 1st) but Worcester could still make it.

It did cross my mind that they might make it Saturday, enabling more Sale supporters to make the journey.
