Lots of comments all over cricket forums that Vilas made a mess of the captaincy, bowling a spinner bowler at the death and under using Mahmood in particular.
Strange thing was not that Livingstone bowled that 19th over but was that any bowler was given the 15th, 17th and the 19th over. Very unusual. Normally they chop and change all the way through the innings.
Would seem to be destined to be part of Lancashire T20 QF folklore along with Malan at the Oval and in particular Moores deciding to use batsmen rather than bowlers in the bowl out against Somerset a few years back.

Just sounds like the usual total incompetence all round. We were very unlucky to have a home semi-final switched away because of the incompetence of the ECB. Cannot believe major one day events arranged during tests.
Have to say, I really don’t care any more.In the past, I would always rather Lancashire win a game of trash cricket than the other side and I do have some sympathy that the fans on both sides have had to travel such a ridiculous distance to watch a joke two hour game. However, I think the Lancashire set up is so corrupt with Allott recruiting his mates Chapple and Chilton to the Manchester maniacs;( as I’ve said before what in God’s name does Chilton have to offer to baseball?) that there is something to be said for the idea that any result that disappoints Allott can’t be all bad.
I hope Andrew and pvc1 managed to sort their tickets / coach although maybe it did them a favour if they didn’t. Lancashire ; I’ll say it again ; incompetent and corrupt just like the ECB.

Well, can safely say we threw that one away to be fair to the captain he has got virtually everything right this season apart from last night, mind yo Livi has history with the ball seem to remember his over in the semi last year went for 20 plus. Certainly will not be aiming criticism at any of those that dropped catches playing a night game in the Arctic Circle is not the way to go. Credit to those who went especially those from Essex. Finally a perfect exmple of those that are in charge of the game have not got a clue. Four spare days before the test and no cricket

Some strong comments in David Hopps' piece here:
340 below the line comments on this tweet: even more than for Hameed. Underlines Hopps' point that supporters care about the Blast.

What do you reckon? Maybe half were freebies for Durham members? Only half ? Definitely some Durham fans in and tonight the total irony that three of the finalists will be from the North group
