good to see Blatherwick and Aspinwall selected again.
4 Lancashire players selected for the North in the ECB super fours regional under 17s match today: Cian Dickinson Arav Shetty Charlie Barnard Kesh Fonseka (who I’m fairly sure will still be under 17 next year) Pretty sure Hurst played for the London side too, must have been a keeper short and he was back up for the North. Looks like it, I’m sure you are right.

Hartley batting at 6, and with a 50. He said on an interview after the Birmingham t20 game that he was working on his batting, maybe this is part of that plan.
Hopefully he can show some ability with the bat in the 100, will help with the balance of our t20 team next year if he does.

Note on scorecard says: "play ended due to extreme heat"

Lancashire just put an article on their website, without mentioning Hurst's involvement in the U18s tournament. Either the author does know or he has left the club.

Wait years for a promising young bat and 3 come along at once. You’d assume Lancs have asked for Bell and Aspinwall to be called into the squad for Hove

Would be ironic if Fielding plays for Worcestershire.
Fonseka 17 in December.

The most significant game at Kidderminster was one that didn’t take place. In 2007, it was predicted weeks before that Lancashire’s game at Worcester would be washed out but there was a chance of it being played at Kidderminster. Worcestershire were a very weak side and it was a game you would assume Lancashire would win ( although we were spectacularly wrong on that in 2011). I forget who vetoed the move but the whole game at Worcester was washed out. Sussex had a game washed out that season at the Oval which would’ve been an extremely difficult game as we found in that last game of the season where we fell 20 runs short at the Oval.
Bitter me, never!
