Second day abandoned already . Had been thinking of going today or tomorrow though it is as long a day by public transport as Blackpool ( 2 hours each way).

Has been heavy rain in last hour in Liverpool. still match delayed but they seem to have tossed up. Lancs due to bat. Assuming they get to play debuts for Joe Chapple (son of) and James Dunn (Chorley) - the search for next generation pace bowlers continues? Both playing u18s this year.

Maybe in 30 years time , people will be wanting his dismissal as Lancs Director of Cricket.

Good win ; was put off going today by Met Office forecast which was giving a couple of hours with over 50% chance of rain.

I remember watching Chapple senior playing for the seconds making his way in the professional game. How time passes!
The whole bustling run up and action is so reminiscent of his dad. We might end up with Flintoff junior bowling with him in a few years!
A few good performances in there for Aspinwall and Singh.
Must be top of the league
