2nds aren't playing according to the club website. But:
3 debuts for the seconds according to NV Play: Haider Hussain (Hyde), Gennaro Reddy (Toft) and Lucas Selby (Delph & Dobcross) - his brother is ex-academy played last year. Harvey Walker playing his third game in as many years doesn't seem to play that much for S&B either.

Pleasant day Chris but baffling as you point out. Shetty playing for Yorkshire. No Morley in either firsts or seconds and didn’t play for Newton Le Willows on Sat. The usual conspiracy of silence. Harvey Walker has had a long injury ; that’s the one thing I can shed some light on.
In general I’ve not a lot to add to the tale the scorecard tells. Our better bowlers were the more economical ones . The spinners did continue to flight the ball even when they took some hammer which was good to see and the field placing remained pretty positive. I’m not going tomorrow though can go Wednesday. Lavelle and Hurst apart, I know little about our batting.

Yes, but no name checks for those making their debut which would have been the case had there been a squad announcement. Poor from Lancashire as per usual. They can't be that busy.

A tough 3 days for a young team against a more experienced team. Jack Carney and Charlie Barnard also missing from the U18 group who played as they are on England U19 duty. Plus Kesh Fonseka is injured.
Can't help but feel that Lancs have backed themselves into a corner with some of the current Academy players though.
There are better players currently sitting outside the Academy that don't have a name or a reputation that precedes them.
At some point loyalty to these players and giving them every opportunity to succeed becomes self defeating as others start to look elsewhere out of sheer frustration.
Bit like the first team really.
