So sad to see two men and a dog at the ODC final, when you remember all those great finals at Lords.
It couldn't be played on a Saturday with the reserve day on a Sunday because of the England match. And why were England playing so late in the year? Because of the Blundred, of course. So many ills lead back to the Blundred.

Why have Bailey and Williams dropped off so alarmingly.
For bowlers with no pace they are not that old that over one winter they lost the bit of nip they relied on - so why such a dramatic fall in performance?
Has Benky asked them to chase wickets and move away from relentless accuracy backed with some movement to draw errors?
Have teams taken elements of baz ball and no longer allow bowlers that can't bounce them to bowl relentlessly on a length?
Are pitches getting flatter year on year and the experiments with different balls mean these kind of seamers are becoming less useful.
Our attack going forward in many ways is in need of a rethink as our middle order.

Can anybody help with this discrepancy please?
According to my figures, backed up by Cricinfo, we had 126 points before the start of the final game at Worcester.
We didn't pick up any batting points, but secured the three bowling points and the draw, so that's 11 for the match.
However, Cricinfo notes that we were deducted two bowling points for a slow over rate, so that means, (in theory), we picked up just 9 to take us to 135.
The final table though shows us with a point fewer, finishing on 134, (as if we had had three deducted at Worcester not two), and just given seven for the draw.
Can anyone clear up what happened to the "missing" point?

Pretty careless to get three points deducted....especially in the last game............remember one relegation was due to Lancs having a 1 point decduction..

Thanks John; I would expect Cricinfo to be more reliable than the Lancashire website so I'm surprised Cricinfo is showing it as minus two when it should be minus three. That sounds very poor to lose all the bowling points, but we'd probably given up by then.
MITS, the season you refer to was 2018 and the deduction we received ensured Nottinghamshire stayed up. I've just been reading my notes on the last match against Hampshire, and if we had scored 300 in our first innings the extra batting point which we would thus have obtained would have ensured our survival. At one stage we were 241 for 6 and looking as if we might do it; a little later we were 273 for 7, so it was still on, but...............in good old Lancs fashion 273 for 7 became 273 all out!
