I knew Blatherwick had been bad, but didn't realise he was that bad. 1-198 in 41 overs!!

Would we be in this position if Chapple had been retained??? I wonder if we’d be in this position if we’d had the intended full season out of Lyon. The batting would still be rubbish, but we may not be facing 350+ every innings and I’m sure his average would be better than 80.

Interesting to compare Hurst to Bell. Hurst back from a successful Hundread and booked for the Big Bash down under and full of confidence - CC average 35 and Bell averaging 26. Its the role of the coaching staff to address poor form and help players out of it and they, and the captain, seem unable to do so. Would we be in this position if Chapple had been retained??? Aye, I met a Lancashire fan who said the loss of Chapple seemed to have had a very clear impact on the bowling of Bailey and Williams.

It's the apparent complacency of those in charge that worries me.
Any sensible management has to be alarmed by the decline this season from possible title contenders to virtual relegation certainties,
The scale of our defeats has been unbelievable. Have Lancs ever before lost three consecutive games by an innings?
Let's hope there are huge efforts taking place behind the scenes to recruit new players and a top class overseas player or next season could be just as bad in division 2

As you say , amazing . No decision in replayed Lancashire Cup Final Ormskirk v Prestwich , trophy shared . Northern won a bowl out at Derby for National 2020 ; guess they’ll take it after an otherwise trophy free season but pretty hollow for them. Personally , once a match goes below 40 overs , I no longer care.
Bizarrely , friend who lived in Keswick gardened all day till 7 pm last night and was still ok this morning.

To be fair the forecast was for rain but it all seems to be heading towards Mid Wales it’s just reached Worcester
