Lancashire Cricket squad to face Nottinghamshire:
Keaton Jennings (c), Tom Bailey, George Balderson, George Bell, Jack Blatherwick, Josh Bohannon, Steven Croft, Matthew Hurst, Danny Lamb, Jack Morley, Harry Singh, Luke Wells, Will Williams
"Matthew Hurst and Harry Singh have been included in their first LV= Insurance County Championship squad, whilst seamer Jack Blatherwick returns following a knee injury that kept him out of last week's clash with Middlesex. Jack Morley also returns to squad and Danny Lamb is once again included in order to provide seam-bowling cover."
So 2 from Croft, Hurst, Singh?

Interesting that Singh and Hurst were chosen ahead of Lavelle who scored a half century for the seconds last week. Hurst was also used more than Lavelle as a keeper in the one day cup.

Unavailable for one reason or another, a full XI in batting order:
Salt Buttler Livingstone Overseas (Vilas) Overseas (Mitchell) Hartley Aspinwall Wood Mahmood Boyden Anderson
before you take Parkinson and Jones into consideration.

Just a thought, why is Anderson unavailable? No tests until January!

Stands open as the last game i.e. E Stand closed... MRG minutes..... As usual it is every excuse they can think of. De-rig, regulations, Trafford Council blah, blah, blah. They say they wanted to "showcase" the new seating for the Northants game, what gave them the right to tell us where we will sit? Did they honestly think that everyone would be happy sitting in a pen when three quarters of the ground was closed off? Did they not think that normal mild mannered members would be angry and upset about how they were being treat? Or do they sit round a table and have brainstorm meetings about how far they can go when pissing the members off? I think this season they have hit the jackpot.

That’s what I was wondering a few days ago. The Ashes ended 31st July and even if selected in January it’s still a long time off.
Any chance the club might let people know?

It seems to me that the number of stewards is based on the total capacity of a stand rather than actual occupation on the day. Hence the desire to shut as much of the ground as possible to save money.
Prefer playing a youngster over Anderson...

Can see the explanation re the stands, just strange the Oval, Trent Bridge and edgbaston at least have all their stands open.

That's how I read it Chris, I can understand why you wouldn't necessarily want to include two debutants so happy with that.

Just listened to an interesting live discussion on LancsTv. via YouTube between Paul Allott and Scott Reid. What they failed to discuss however was......... Where is James Anderson? ********************************

Just listened to an interesting live discussion on LancsTv. via YouTube between Paul Allott and Scott Reid. What they failed to discuss however was......... Where is James Anderson? ******************************** Suspect as others have said that he may well be commentating on the England v. Ireland series. If that is the case perhaps it's an indication he's moving towards retirement. You might have expected he would want a bowl after what was, in some respects, a disappointing Ashes series on a personal level.
