Where is James Anderson? ******************************** Interesting, the advantage of rewind: Scott Read on Tom Hartley: "what has been impressive this year in red ball....is to get control and .... actually offer a threat as well" really? Never took more than 2 wickets in an innings despite bowling a dozen or more overs on a dozen occasions.

With another uncertain day ahead weatherwise and a number of members giving today a miss because of the conditions I wonder if Lancashire will take the common sense approach and postpone todays forum for 24 hours and hold it tomorrow when the forecast (at the moment) is much better?

With another uncertain day ahead weatherwise and a number of members giving today a miss because of the conditions I wonder if Lancashire will take the common sense approach and postpone todays forum for 24 hours and hold it tomorrow when the forecast (at the moment) is much better? Would be a bit pointless holding it today! |

So if the weather plays ball on Friday and for those members who bother to go to Old Trafford, and their first priority is to actually watch some cricket, the forum will last a maximum of 30 minutes. This smells of rushing it through to avoid any awkward questions.

I believe you can only agree a one innings match in advance if there's only a day remaining with play not possible on the preceding three days. Doesn't look as though they'll get a full day's play either today or tomorrow so likely to be all about the bonus points. |
