To be fair, a step in the right direction. Wonder what the next direction will be backwards or forwards or simply sideways. Could explain the lack of signings, saving their money for a new coach.

Absolutely the right decision. Fresh blood and Fresh ideas from outside the club please. Rumours of cliches and toxic atmosphere in the dressing room under his charge too. Hopefully Chilton follows him out of the door.

Delighted with this news. Absolutely great bowler but his dour nature and outlook meant he was a poor captain and coach. Squandered great resources which would have been an era of success for the club with someone with better man management and positive intent in charge.
Now if Chilton would do the honourable thing....

Thoughts on replacement? I'd be happy with Onions, Anderson and Flintoff. |

worst scenario would be to promote Carl Crowe, Karl Krikken, Graham Onions one step up the ladder and allow Steven Croft to fit it the empty rung on the ladder.

Carl Crowe was a consultant spin bowling coach who was taken to be Chapple's assistant. His record with Parkinson Hartley and Morley suggests he is lucky to have a job. If the end of Chapple's regime got a bit toxic the guy who backed him up shouldn't be his successor.
