Weather forecast warm and dry, all stands (except party stand) open (lets hope there's no "derigging" after the Eng-Oz T20 match)...what could possibly go wrong?
Lancashire's last three games have lasted less than three days (overs wise versus weather interruptions) so I think we can take the draw out of the game. Is this current batting line-up good enough to post a challenging first innings total/is the bowling attack good enough to test the opposition batting?
It could be an interesting members forum on Wednesday lunchtime!

Just a thought - Mahmood finishes his mini stint with England tomorrow as he is not in the ODI squad. He isn't in the England squad to tour Pakistan in October. Will he play in the Somerset game or will Lancashire/ECB/Mahmood himself want to "manage" his workload?

Not LL's biggest fan but his bowling has improved, so would be an upgrade on Iyer or Hartley. As far as I know he's not playing in the CPL, but I may be wrong and these things change quickly. |

Was an article about Livingstone yesterday saying he is pain free for first time for eighteen months and enjoying the game again. Probably not enough to turn out for Lancs though?

Is Wood actually on a white ball only contract now? Or just the management and himself decided he won't play red? I'd be looking to bring him in if possible, left arm pace etc, Mahmood too if also possible. Flintoff has had a break, bring him back and give Bell one. To be fair 7 or 8 could face being dropped and not complain.

LL announced last Sunday on X he was playing in the SA T20 franchise league and somebody replied 'Shame you don't show the same enthusiasm for Lancs'. Surprisingly LL replied, but only with two 'Think' emojis. Make of that what you will. Hope you enjoyed Taunton. |

However if the current performance of the team is not on the agenda it will be a damning indication of the priority the senior management of the club have for cricket and the views of members. |

The management can't just brush this seasons woeful displays under the carpet. The members have a right to have the DOC on the top table and be able to ask any question they like. The forum is taking place during a county championship match and I'm pretty sure that 99.9% of members who attend the forum will want to discuss the domestic performances this season and not the hundred. With the weather set fair I expect the room to be overflowing with members. |

Then someone needs to make it be on the agenda and risk ejection. Unfortunately I am working and not a member. Go when I can etc. There must be someone in the room who isn't afraid of confrontation. Forceful and blunt doesn't have to be rude. |

The most poignant question or comparison must surely be, trophy winning Gloucestershire a team on the up now, and relegation threatened Lancashire perennial losers this season and a team on the down, what’s the link……….. surely it’s not that hard for people at the top or anybody to work that out !
