My apologies to Wells, I though he was out first, didn't see he had dropped down the order. I turned it on and saw the shot but didn't notice Singhs name at the bottom. My bad.

Bad toss to lose. Even on a road, which this strip is not, batting first in the second half of September can be pretty difficult. Could have been a lot worse than 107 for 4 as Jennings was dropped first ball - a real sitter too. Singh and Bohannon both got good ones and I don't blame Jennings for going on the attack on this sort of pitch. Only Flintoff played a genuinely poor shot, driving at a ball that wasn't there for it. Let's hope dropping Wells down to 6 will prove to be a good idea.

Back in Division 2. Exactly what those running the show deserve. Absolute shambles from start to finish. I hope somebody asks Management and coaches tomorrow how they can possibly still be in employment and not be seen as a laughing stock.

I wonder how many wickets they will lose before they overhaul our score. Two if we’re lucky?
It’s alright saying regroup in the second division and come back stronger, but won’t it be just the same people at the top?

140 a/o. Lost 6 for 33 since lunch. Unbelieveable, even on a tricky pitch. Sadly it is the norm for this team. Let's see how tricky the pitch is when proper application is applied when batting on it. And when the bowlers are demoralised from defending such a paltry total. Just can't see anything other than another innings defeat. The side is totally lost for ideas. The coaching and management have completely failed them. |
