I'd be surprised if we produced a wicket to suit Jack Leach! Maybe just rely on Wells and replace Hartley with Flintoff..

Just a thought - Mahmood finishes his mini stint with England tomorrow as he is not in the ODI squad. He isn't in the England squad to tour Pakistan in October. Will he play in the Somerset game or will Lancashire/ECB/Mahmood himself want to "manage" his workload? Ditto Livingstone. Not LL's biggest fan but his bowling has improved, so would be an upgrade on Iyer or Hartley. As far as I know he's not playing in the CPL, but I may be wrong and these things change quickly. He's now been recalled due to buttlers injury. |

Doesn't mention that on the Lancashire website!
The contract Indian players have with the BCCI prevents them from playing any franchise cricket other than the IPL. I think the ECB should also do something along these lines. I don't object to players playing in the IPL and Big Bash but it doesn't seem right when they play in these minor tournaments that clash with our domestic cricket season. |
