International white ball bowling has moved on and it exposes one dimensional players who rely on enough balls being in their slot. I'm not sure our Liam is smart or humble enough to adapt his game.
His bowling has changed the course of a few games! Sadly for us!
I think we would do better in the blast if he was centrally contracted so hope he has a better world Cup.

He wastes so many deliveries not rotating the strike. Looking to hit the ball out of the park or dead batting back to the bowler and holding the pose. Gets in to double figures with 2 or 3 scoring shots out 9 or 10 balls faced and then the soft dismissal.

Seems a long time ago that he was making a disciplined big century to turn a championship match against Somerset around in our favour, and making centuries for England 'A' against Sri Lanka 'A' in the extreme heat over there. A proper player in those days, but now turned into an arrogant one-trick pony slogger. Very sad.

Out first ball. Given the mediocrity of his bowling i really fail to see why he is playing ahead of Moeen. Dawson would of been a better pick for the squad far better all rounder.

Never looked like comfortable . Awful review as said. In good company though ; dreadful shot by Buttler .

He used to open for us in 50. Why is he not being tried there for England? Would allow them to squeeze in another bowling option and push Buttler down to his best position. Out first ball. Given the mediocrity of his bowling i really fail to see why he is playing ahead of Moeen. Dawson would of been a better pick for the squad far better all rounder. |
