Was just about to post the same Gareth ( us Platts must think alike). When you think of the Championship season in 2011, we didn’t miss a thing with Tom Smith, Paul Horton and Stephen Croft being particular stars.

Rather worryingly Jimmy isn't out there this morning. Both Lancs in this match and England for the Ashes don't need him picking up an injury.

Assuming it’s just a convenience that Jimmy is off the field ( which is another thing that annoys me about modern cricket.) Why would you not start with your best bowler?
Substitutes weren’t common at one time. I think the trend started when Dennis Lillee had pneumonia before the 81 Ashes and seemed to be allowed to go off for a shower after each spell. Nowadays they’re on and off all the time.

Really worrying performance by Lancs. To let them get 350+ after being 12 for 3 is just awful. I've lost count of the number of catches we have dropped. Added later: now a poor start with the bat. Wells doesn't get to the pitch of the ball and gives Henry a return catch - extremely well taken but shouldn't have been there.

Lancs have inserted the opposition three times so far this season without success....Somerset's 361 being the lowest score. We get a start but can't follow it up..Painful watching the slow play this am in a bitter wind....

Wells did score 82 in the reverse fixture at Taunton a few weeks ago, but 188 runs @23.50 ain't great.

Their keeper James Rew(19) seems to have a liking of the Lancashire bowlers this season, 117, 47 and now 105.
Golden Duck in the 2nd innings would be nice, sorry Son, nothing personal.
