I was expecting the "hundred players" to be available for the round of championship games starting on Tuesday 25th July since the Hundred starts on Tuesday 1st August but a guess they need some team bonding golf days before the tournament. If they do miss the 25th July round it's not a good time for us to be playing Northants with only two players from their squad playing in the hundred.

games including us on Wednesday.

As quoted elsewhere. Taken on face value this means that Vilas will not be around next year, but Croft and Blatherwick will.

So after the Warwick game we will have no overseas players left, although Vilas will still be available I assume? Are we likely to sign any or risk a plunge down the table?

I think we will be doing our best to stumble over the line 3rd or 4th bottom without paying for more overseas knowing our club. Big winter ahead in terms of what the message is to members and supporters. Vilas gone by the looks Croft maybe one last dance. I wouldn't be surprised to see Wood walk if Blatherwick is getting selected ahead of him. Serious investment and intent needed. I won't hold my breath. |

We could do, be hard to sign a decent one for the one day cup with the crappy hundred on though. I see Warwick have signed someone for the next two four day games. |
