Probably not prepared to pay Ken Grime, although I thought he'd been made redundant years ago, but then sometimes his name reappeared now and then so maybe he has agreed he doesn't have do to away matches. But like everyone else they use the shared ECB reporters network.

Balderson looks like a quality batsman to me. I'm sure we'll knock that out of him. Hope he gets his hundred, but I've seen loads of players play well in the final session of a day only to get out cheaply the next morning. Well done Tom Bailey, but with all due respect to him, the pitch can't be that bad if he can score 75. It might be more difficult to bowl Warwicks out than some think.
I agree that Aspinwall should have played rather than Lamb.

Not surprised we lost quick wickets this morning.

Three career bests: Bailey 75, Balderson first ever century and Morley first ever boundary previous HS only 3*

Good effort from the Lancs lower order considering we were 150 for 7. Is Rushowrth injured as his bowling is stuck at 14.2 overs?

Congratulations George Balderson! Hopefully the first of many hundreds.
As I have said before I think Balderson has the ability to bat in the top four and be a specialised batsmen who bowls occasionally.
I was out this morning and missed the first hour. Spent a lot of time anxiously checking my phone as wickets 8 and 9 fell. The first ball I saw was Morley's dismissal.

Both openers out, Bailey and Williams doing their usual and taking 1 a piece.

Stream seems all blurry, none of the other counties seem to be as good as Lancs tv. Pity management and coaching aren't as good.

Off for rain, which will give Bailey and Williams another go. Hain playing cautiously and digging in; Rhodes playing like the Lancs top order did and lucky to be still at the crease.

It appears Lamb is there just as a body to field. Baffling selection. If he was already on the ground fair enough but if he had to travel surely someone who will be on the staff in 2024 was the call?

1) were those niggles really therefore picked up in the morning warm up, or did they know beforehand they needed extra cover?
2) otherwise why was he at the ground?
From the 14 named, 2 developed niggles, 2 were not selected (Croft and Hartley) as Chapple selected Lamb. Why not play Croft or Hartley? Used pitch, second spinner?
